P128 - 200902732 LEE JI SUK /WED78 People have been living with pets and pets became a family member. Many of us can't live without our lovely pets. Among various kinds of pets, cat and dog are the most popular pets. They have a lot of similarities in appearance, but they are very different in their characters. Both cat and dog are mammals, so they have a lot in common in appearance. they have four legs, tail, and soft fur. Cat and dog are omnivorous, so they eat just about any type of food. They take kindly to people. Because of these reasons, cat and dog became most popular pets living in harmony with human beings. Unlike these similarities, they are very different in characters. Dogs like water, and they are great swimmers. In contrast, cats are afraid of water, so they don't like washing. Dogs are very loyal to their masters and they have hard time accepting new masters, but cats accept new masters in just a week. Owner of dogs should comb their pets because dogs don't brush themselves. Unless dogs, cats comb themselves by licking their fur. Dogs feel lonely easily, but cats don't feel lonely as they prefer independent life. Cat and dog seem similar, but they have many differences in reality. Because of their different attractiveness, both of them could become the most popular pets. |

ReplyDelete1. What I like about this piece of writing is that the writer talks about 'cats and dogs' which are, in my opinion, the most loved pets in the world.
2. Your main point seems to be that the cats and dogs have similarities and differences.
3. In the essay, the sentence I liked most is 'Cat and dog are omnivorous'. I have never thgought of cats and dogs this way so for me, this sentence was very refreshing.
4. The sentence 'They take kindly to people' isn't clear to me. Does it mean that cats and dogs are kind to people, or the people are kind to them because of their attractiveness?
5. In my opinion, contrast to the introduction paragraph, the conclusion paragraph seems short. I think it would become a much better essay if the writer add some senteces in the conclusion paragraph.

1. What I like about this piece of writing is that I can clearly understand your writing. You don’t write unnecessarily long and only convey essential things.
2. Your main point seems to differences and similarities between cats and dogs.
3. “Dogs are very loyal to their masters and they have hard time accepting new masters, but cats accept new masters in just a week.” struck me strongly because I didn’t know that cats are disloyal to its owner.
4. Some things aren’t clear to me; “Cat and dog seem similar, but they have many differences in reality. Because of their different attractiveness, both of them could become the most popular pets.” Because I think the cause and effect that used here is a bit weak. It would be much better if you add some more reasons.
